Hello Simon Rebecchi here, My daughter (Dave Bishop's Grand-daughter) wishes to raise money and awareness for "Help for Heroes",

Hi RE Junior Leaders, I’m David Bishop’s Granddaughter, and today I am writing to you to ask for your help.

Help For Heroes, for me, is a very important charity and for a while now I’ve been trying to find a way to raise money for them. This morning I was at my Great Grandma’s house and she has had poems laminated that my Great Granddad wrote during the War. These poems touched me; suddenly it occurred to me that poems are a great way to portray emotions. Help For Heroes is all about conjuring up emotions that maybe some people haven’t experienced, but they try to help those people understand: poems do this too.

So, I am planning on putting together a collection of poems that I can sell to raise money for those heroes who have put themselves at risk for our country. I thought that this would be something quite close to your hearts, just as it would be to my Great Granddad's if he was still here today.  I am writing this anthology in memory of my Great Granddad and anyone else who died prematurely.

I am writing this to you, to ask if you have a poem about being in the forces that you haven’t shared with the world that maybe you want to. A poem which could help people empathise with a certain emotion or situation or a poem which, like me, you want to dedicate to someone. A poem which could help raise money for Help For Heroes.
